Areopagus Faculty/Graduate Student
Book Clubs
Areopagus Book Clubs meet during
the school year to discuss books or articles of interest to Christian faculty
and graduate students.
The Friday Book Club
meets at noon in the Nook in the Memorial Union Food Court. Our current book
is Rene Dubos' The God Within.
For more information, contact Dave
Schweingruber (dschwein@iastate.edu).
When choosing books, we are particularly
interested in:
- Books about connections
between Christianity and academia
- Books that provide a Christian
perspective on the topics of academic disciplines, e.g., the arts, humanities,
social and physical sciences
- Books that provide a Christian
perspective on cultural and political issues
- Books by leading scholars of
Biblical studies, theology, ethics, etc.
